Privacy Policy
Last updated May 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how Play Nice Together, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit bytesizedhost.com (the "Site") or use our managed hosting, email, DNS, and domain services (the "Services"). By using the Site or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described below.
1. Who we are
The Site and Services are operated by Play Nice Together, Inc., a business registered in New York, United States. We serve customers in the United States and Canada.
2. Information we collect
We collect information when you visit the Site, contact us, sign up for Services, or use our managed infrastructure. Each category is described below.
2.1 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, the following is collected automatically by us and our service providers:
- Your IP address (logged by our web server and security infrastructure for operational purposes)
- Browser type, version, and user agent string
- Operating system and device type
- Referring URL and pages visited
- Approximate geographic location derived from IP address
- Date and time of your visit
2.2 Information you provide directly
Contact and inquiries. If you contact us through the audit form, contact form, or by email, we collect your name, email address, domain name, and the contents of your message. We retain this as part of our customer records.
Account and service setup. When you become a customer, we collect your name, business name, email address, billing address, and information about the services you've requested (domains, platform accounts, hosting configuration).
2.3 Billing information
We collect billing information necessary to process payments. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored on our systems. We retain billing records (amounts, dates, services purchased) as required for accounting and tax purposes.
2.4 Service and account data
In providing managed Services, we may access configuration data associated with your accounts — including email platform settings, DNS records, domain registration details, and hosting configuration. We access this data solely to perform the Services and do not use it for any other purpose.
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Site and deliver our Services.
3.1 Google and Microsoft (platform partners)
We are a Google Cloud Partner Advantage reseller and a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP). When we provision Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 accounts on your behalf, your account data is processed by Google or Microsoft under their respective terms and privacy policies. We have no control over how Google or Microsoft handle data within their platforms beyond what their partner agreements provide.
3.2 Domain and hosting infrastructure
We work with domain registrar and hosting infrastructure partners including OpenSRS, TD Synnex, and WPEngine to provide domain registration and website hosting services. These providers process registration and hosting data necessary to fulfill those services.
3.3 Payment processing
Payments are processed through a third-party payment processor. We do not store payment card numbers or full payment credentials on our own systems. Your payment data is subject to that processor's privacy policy and PCI DSS compliance standards.
3.4 Amazon Web Services and server infrastructure
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is our primary infrastructure provider. Our website, applications, and supporting services run on AWS infrastructure in the United States. AWS processes data on our behalf under their data processing agreement. Our web server and AWS infrastructure automatically log standard request information (IP address, URL, timestamp, HTTP status, user agent) as part of normal operations. These logs are used solely for operating, debugging, and securing the Site and Services. They are retained for 90 days and are not used for marketing or profiling.
3.5 Google Analytics (consent required)
If you consent through our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect aggregate data about how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to track visitor interactions and may transfer data to servers in the United States. The information collected includes pages viewed, time spent on the Site, and approximate location.
Google Analytics does not load until you accept it. If you decline or do not respond to the cookie banner, Google Analytics will not run on your visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer, which will clear your stored preference and show the banner again on your next page load. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
3.6 Matomo Analytics (runs by default)
We also use Matomo Analytics, a web analytics platform we self-host on infrastructure under our control. Matomo runs for all visitors and does not require consent, based on legitimate interest in understanding how the Site is used, with minimal privacy impact:
- Cookies disabled. Matomo runs in cookieless mode — no Matomo identifiers are stored on your device.
- IP anonymization enabled. The last two octets of every visitor IP address are masked before logging. We cannot uniquely identify individual visitors through Matomo.
- Self-hosted. Matomo data is stored on infrastructure we operate and is not shared with any third party.
- Do Not Track honored. If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, Matomo will not collect data about your visit.
You can opt out of Matomo at any time by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings.
5. How information is used

- Respond to inquiries and support requests
- Operate and maintain the Site
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.
6. Information sharing
We share information only as follows:
- With service providers who help us deliver the Services (Google, Microsoft, OpenSRS, TD Synnex, WPEngine, and our payment processor), under their respective agreements with us
- For legal compliance when required by law, court order, or government request
- To protect the rights and safety of Play Nice Together, Inc., our customers, or the public

7. Your rights and choices
6.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We retain customer account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a period of seven years thereafter, as required for tax and accounting purposes. Support correspondence and emails are retained indefinitely. Server logs are deleted after 90 days. You may request earlier deletion of personal information that we are not legally required to retain.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
